OK, rather than go to the main forum, I wanted to ask you BullDawgers...

I am considering buying a G37, because I am intrigued by the GAP round. I know that there are no existing subcaliber barrels that will fit this slide BUT.... can I simply replace the complete upper (slide & barrel) and the ejector housing with G22 parts to convert this frame over to .40 for range use? Or is the locking block and other parts specific to the GAP, making it a bad idea from the start?

Considering that the G22 that would loan these parts is my Gen2, I wouldn't even consider trying to reconfigure that frame as a GAP.

    Thanks in advance...

All you would need in addition to the complete G22 upper is an ejector and magazines.

The trigger bar is slightly different but would probably work.

That is part of the reason I pulled the trigger on the deal - I picked it up last Thursday. :)

At another gunshop, I got a super deal on 1 box of ammo and 3 used mags (how was it super? All of that cost me less than $38 :wow: ). Now to get to the range....

That makes a sweet deal even sweeter! Congrats on the new G37!

I can barely find mags for my G37. That's a smokin' deal.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but Bud's Gunshop has used G37 mags for $10.

    Actually, $10.99. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/861/products_id/411536402

I was actually going to order from here until I lucked out on the other deal.

In regards to what I ended up paying: sometimes it is rewarding to be a repeat customer that lets them know how much you appreciate what they do for the local shooting community. :wavey:
