Last week I found a two year old German short haired pointer. Has a microchip and still can't find the owner. $650 in vet bills so far. That's not including the cherry eye, nutering and surgery to fix the ear that got tore up by the coyotes. Vet said its been on its own for 2 to 4 weeks. I really like this dog, he's not completly well behaved, but you can see that he is very grateful about being cared for and is almost affectionate to my wife. My 12 year old Lab is not very happy.
