Proud parents of an airman

    My son did it. Graduated BMT last Fri. at Lackland AFB. Now he's in Tech school at Sheppard AFB. He'll be there for 11 weeks before moving on. He's going to be an aircraft engine mechanic. All I can say is WOW. It was a wonderful graduation. The TI's really do alot in the short time they have. Those young men and women were really squared away. The wife and I are so proud of him. God be with all of our troops. amen :patriot: BTW, Don't forget Aug 1st. is Air Force Day

    Congradulations, my son graduated in June. Being a Marine I am very proud of my Airman.

    Congrtas to you and your son! I spent several weeks at Sheppard in 1987 for aircraft maintenance myself. I have a lot of good memories.

    That's great. I didn't see it then, but they do change you (for the better)in a short time. I was there in '92.

    My airman graduates this week. I will be heading down to Lackland on Wednesday. Any advice about graduation?

    let the journey begin! i was one of the lucky one that is stationed with my TI after basic. he is my neighbor now! very nice guy, i give him crap all the time hahaha :rofl:

    Congratulations, I also fix jet engines, but im in the navy. Both my friends are in the airforce.

    My kid just got through SERE indoc. He now goes thru the actual training. Tough course that is for sure!
