The part that would print is gone. How could a bobtail print more? :dunno:
The whole reason for bobtailing a 1911 is to make it more concealable.

    This,........thanks Randy.

Just to add,.....it's not as sharp as it looks, and it contacts the palm
of the hand at the crease of the heel. Very comfortable, very concealable.

Ha ha. Took me a minute to get it too. Well done.

That looks great. I don't have the stones to go that far. I thought your round butt work looked nice.

    No, not THAT butt.

Thanks I have been working out!

The "round butt" job was something I wanted to try. And I knew if I
screwed that up, I could do the bobtail. I am happy with the end result.

I think it looks great! Well Done.

I need to learn how to do this stuff. :wavey:

  10. You forgot to post some targets, I want to see that 1" group ragged hole from that beast!

Decided to leave the FCS,.......fitted a thick EGW bushing & plug today.
I did not fit it "Baer tight" but darn near. 10x better fit than the Springer bushing!

The end of the Springer Loaded project is at hand.
Made plans to send it to Joe Chambers to get a bit of work done
    & a matte blued refinish.

  13. Too bad, once it's done you'll be bored of it.

At least that's the way it is with my projects, once they're done I loose interest. I tell my wife that since I kept her for all these years I have to trade/sell the guns when I'm bored.

Had plans to give it to my Son-in-Law........gave him a Cold Bore Customs
    G17 instead.

  15. That's funny I was kind of building mine for a future son-in-law but alas it didn't work out. Safe queen but I may move it out to fund something else. Can't wait to see what Chambers does to that thing, it will be awesome.

Honestly, just a few mild tweaks, front strap treatment, msh
treatment & a matte blue finish.

    I LOVE those grips.
That is going to be very fun! Nice job.

    deadite Groovy.

I've always been interested in a Government sized slide and a bobbed frame. I have a bobbed Commander and love the feel, but all of my full sized 1911s have a regular MSH.
