i learned a few things watching this pride.

    1. vanderlei silva will win the gp. there's no doubt in my mind. shogun can't handle him. i think the last round will be shogun and silva.

    2. sergei kharinotov is the next great heavyweight in mma. i have seen most of his pride fights and have always thought he was a great fighter. but to see him completely clown pedro rizzo standing up is amazing. pedro is one of the most feared strikers in the history of mma. i don't see him beating fedor though.

    3. sakuraba has no buisness fighting in light heavyweight. he should probably retire all together.

Actually, if you watch, Pedro's technique was incredible, he just couldn't overcome the reach difference. He was throwing hard shots, he just was ALWAYS just an inch or two short.

pedro usually throws mean leg kicks to nullify his opponents reach advantage. i've only seen it once, but i don't remember him throwing any leg kicks did he? i'll have to watch it again tonight.
