Hello Bogs! First Post ko to. I am looking to buy my second handgun and I was really leaning towards something in .45. Where do you guys suggest I can get the best deal? Do you guys recommend the G30? Perhaps I should look into a 1911? Used?

    welcome to bog A.Knight!!!

if you really want a .45 want it small, with a high number of mag rounds, a g30 is a good choice. if you want brand new, try deenoh. but i think someone here is selling a second hand g30, hardly used, well maintained.

If you have small to medium-sized hands, you might find the G30's grip somewhat fat and bulky. Otherwise, if you have big hands and/or long fingers, I'd say run and get yourself a G30. They're not for everyone but if you're one of the few blessed ones who can control it, then you're smack in the middle of .45 heaven Central.:)

My advice is to try shooting both. Enough BOGs have those guns and I'm sure you can try each first before deciding.
