No, and you'll be lucky to find anyone that has ammo in stock as the panic has set in.

I dunno about that. I haven't been to wal-mart in about a week, but unlike in 2008 they have had plenty in stock. That was a good gauge before because as people panicked it became quite bare in the cabinet.

Gun and ammo prices just haven't jumped much at all. Now let someone in an elected office breathe a word about a ban of any kind and THAT is when you'll see everything skyrocket.

Look around for .223 ammo. You can find it but it is pretty scarce. I was just in at my LGS for some primers and powder, talked to a friend that works there and their supplier had 40 cases of Wolf .223 on Nov 7th, by noon, they were sold out. My friend also told me of a guy that came in and bought 10 cases of Prvi .223 the day after the election at a price of $440 per case. :wow:

I really think this might be a regional/location thing. Around here, Cabelas has mountains of .223 and the prices aren't bad. Nothing compared to 10 years ago when you could get cases shipped to your door for under $100...but no where near the 2008 levels and scarcity.

In any case, stack it deep!!! (No way I can put "buy it cheap" anymore... maybe in another 10 years, today's prices and availability will seem cheap)

A week ago my WM was fully stocked except for .223 and they get that in regularly. A pleasant surprise.

At Lowe's last night I came across 2D MagLED's for $14.99 (half-price) in their 'Black Friday' stack. Not sure how long it's going on; just saw it last night and bought a bunch for employee christmas gifts.

Are they the LED version? The incandescents tend to run around $18-$25 here, and the LED's tend to run $30 or so.

I get mine for $5 from my dealer.

He's also got a few of the real big ones. Not sure what they go for though.
