Aside from Hornady TAP, anybody saw 5.56/.223 M16 premium ammo being sold by local gunstores? I'm particularly interested on testing 68gr-Black Hill's accuracy with my barrel.

Also, I've been wondering on the TAP ammo -- it has NO BULLET WEIGHT description on the box at TwinPines.

what barrel twist rate do you have? Heavy bullets are better stabilized by 1:9, 1:8 or 1:7 twist than the 1:12 twist. If you still have a 1:12 twist, better stick with the M193 round.

68-gr are said to be threshold for 1/9; a few 75gr are still stabilized by the same twist on SOME barrels (according to some ARFComers). Most said the 68gr Black Hill Match Ammo is the most accurate for that twist.

55-grain M193 ammo is relatively ok with my barrel. I would just like to see where (pigain)the limits of the accuracy of my 1/9 barrel. :)
