i'm interested in something else by Adams Arms so I'm curious what people say about them. and let me ask, what is your plan with the 5.45 upper, just shoot on the real cheap?

Because it looks like a good idea to me, to tell you the truth. 5.45 is so cheap. Really perfect for SHTF stocking up when you think about it.

I have several lowers laying around & I don't want another 5.56. I'm going to built others in 300blk, 6.5, & maybe a 7.62X39. I really enjoy shooting the 6.8 spc and the 7.62X51, Even reloading those 2 calibers hurts my pocket.

I'd recommend a 300BLK as you can use your current bolt & mags that are in your 5.56

I'd guess the concept with getting a 5.45X39 upper is to get CHEAP ammo.:faint:

I can't speak about caliber because both my Ar's are 5.56 but I have never had a bit of trouble with Spikes Tactical. Fit and finish are great and function of mine has been perfect. The Rainier one is piston which is supposed to be a better design.

  7. If it were me, I'd pick the Spikes. They make a good product.

Well if they are looking to shoot cheap Milsurp steel case ammo then why not just buy Brown Bear 5.56 @ $200/case..
