I just picked up a Sig P225 for the main purpose of adding to my Sig collection. More of an investment pistol than a range gun, although it will be taken to the range at some point.
To all you expert Sig Sauer gunners out there ..... do you think the pistol will be fine for some months to come if it's kept in the plastic (grease) bag inside the case it arrived in ? Or, should I place it in a Bores Stores silicone treated gun sock ?
Thank you for any knowlege you can bestow on me... :notworthy:

    Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. I would be concerned over moisture build up in a plastic bag with a p225. I would sock it to be safe .

 Thanks for your input ... and I do have all my other handguns in silicone treated gun socks. I thought the 225 would be good in the bag for a month or so.
Time for a larger safe ..

I use a plastic Ziplock baggie to protect the finishes on guns in hard plastic cases, but I DON'T zip it shut. As long as air can get inside the bag, you should be fine.
