Piven: ‘Democrats, Socialists and Communists… We Are All Together’

Discussion in 'Political Issues' started by sbhaven, Mar 22, 2012.

  1. At the Left Forum 2012, Francis Pox Piven shed more light on the make up of the left. Piven told the gathering:
    According to Frances Fox Piven:
    • The Occupy Movement is made up of “All parts of the Left.”
    • That includes proudly: “Democrats, Socialists, Communists, Anarchists.”
    • Must all work together because of the “Huge task of transforming America and the world.”
    • “We are all together”

America doesn't need to be transformed by the left or anyone else. If anything, America needs to move more to the right, even the far right.

    Screw the left!:steamed:

You need to get off the personal attacks. I'm really getting tired of it.

I do NOT want bigger government and have never said I did.

Just because I realize that government serves a purpose and has responsibilities to it's citizens doesn't mean I'm for bigger government.

Just because Ron Paul's message has been rejected by the American people, doesn't mean those people and myself want bigger government.

Just because I think the constitution should be updated doesn't mean I don't support the constitution. An updated constitution would better serve the needs of all Americans.

You take everything I post to the most extreme example possible and then present it as what I want to do.

Please knock off the personal attacks.
They're against the forum rules anyway.

Excuse me, sir. You take everything concerned citizens post and blatantly call them the "blame America first crowd", and also label them anti-American. That's just as personal. Don't go crying that you're getting what you're dishing out.

The people who find nothing but fault with America and can't seem to find anything good to say,
    fall into that group.

The people who post that "America's doomed", "America causes all the problems in the world" and America has an evil government, definitely fall into that group.

All I've ever done is present a broader viewpoint that conflicts with the strict constitutionalist polices of the Ron Paul crowd.

I realize that the government is not some evil monster that threatens to devour every American alive.

The narrow minded anarchists of the Ron Paul group can't stand that challenge
    to their supposed superiority.

They result to name calling because they can't defend their political positions which
have been wholeheartedly rejected by the American people.

    Jb,
Common sense is lost on the RP crowd. All they are concerned about is money. They really don't care about this country. If you listen all they talk about is taxes. As a very wise man said " for the love of money is the root of all evil".

They would let the elderly starve to death in this country if it meant another buck in their pocket. I am sure our founding fathers would be proud of them.

Fortunately they are a small portion of the population, and will never be taken seriously. They are really pathetic. I only hope that some day through some bad choice they make they will get to see life from the shoes of the ones they degrade so much. I wonder how many of them actually got anywhere on their own or did they profit from the labor of mom and dad or their grandparents labor.

No, it is pretty much common sense. Try thinking for your self once in awhile.

That's you rebuttal? You sound just like Rush. Dittos to you. :)

Are you a fat white guy that's a drug addict also? Maybe you can stand in for him next time he is in rehab.

I am an independent voter. I vote for who I feel is the best choice, I don't have to be led around by my nose spouting off any party talking points. Especially by some little old man who is out of touch with reality.

That's not a personal attack. What are you talking about?

You post quite frequently about your disdain for states rights, your disdain for the 9th and 10th amendments, your belief that government needs to act outside of the Constitution to address the needs of a modern society and the fact that government needs to be sufficiently large to tend to the needs of a certain segment of the population.

That's the very definition of Progressive

    You are one of them.

    Pitch a tent.

Certified & Ruble, does it bother you knowing that your political views are irrelevant in the scheme of things. It has to hurt just a little that nobody cares what you or Ron Paul thinks. Sure, a few dingbats may agree with you, but not enough to even matter. I am sorry if this is the first time someone broke it down to you, but you really don't matter.

That'd be your government, I believe. Your President.

You and your ilk are content forcing one person to provide for another. You are content assuming your right to seize the fruits of one man's labor and give it to another.

You and your ilk support theft and slavery. I can only assume that makes you a thief.

Larger every day. We won't sit idly by and allow you people to dictate our lives from cradle to grave.

You have JBnTX though, so you have that going for ya.

BTW, my views are the supreme law of the land. I know that doesn't sit well with you people but it doesn't change the facts.

It's kind of funny how people that want to adhere to the COTUS are called haters of America. It would seem the ones that want to change the COTUS to fit their socialist ideals should be labeled as haters of America.
