    Pinoy Haircut

    There was this good old barber in a city in the United States . One day a florist went to him for a haircut. After the cut, he wanted to pay the barber but the barber replied, "I don't accept money from you. I'm doing community service." The florist was happy and left the barbershop.

    The next morning when the barber opened his shop, there was a "thank you" card and a dozen roses waiting at his door.

    The following day, a policeman went for a haircut and he also wanted to pay the barber after the cut. But the barber replied, "I don't accept money from you. I'm doing community service." The cop was happy and left the barbershop.

    The next morning when the barber opened his shop, there is a "thank you" card and a dozen freshly baked donuts waiting at his door.

    On the third day, a Filipino software engineer went for a haircut. He also wanted to pay the barber. But the barber also replied," I'm sorry. I don't accept money from you. I'm doing community service." The Filipino software engineer was happy and left.

    The following morning when the barber opened his shop, he had a big surprise! Guess what he found!

    * * * * Can you guess?....

    * * * * Do you know the answer yet?....

    * * * * Come on, think like a Filipino....

    * * * * O, sirit ka na ba?

    There were a dozen FILIPINOS waiting for free haircuts ! ! ! ! ! !

    Hey, are we Pinoys that bad? While we Pinoys have the ability to laugh at our miseries and dire situation - like a coping mechanism. It makes me wonder if this "ability" is the same folly why we lack nationalism and ambivalent pride for one's own race....Please tell stories that we should be proud Pinoys. Wag naman yung "Pinoy urban legends" that a certain Agapito Flores invented the fluorescent lamp, that an Eduardo San Juan invented NASA's Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) or "Moon Buggy". God bless

    Going back to the topic, Im sure Sir Isuzu did not mean any harm in his post.

    I for one DO NOT come back in a business where I get "total free" service.

    Para bang iniisip ko na ayaw na nya ako pabalikin kaya libre.

    Parang kapag may nagpautang sa iyo at ayaw magpabayad ay siguradong huling hirit mo na yun sa kanya.

    Namputsa, sige na nga tirahin ko na rin yung mga Korean at Canadian sa gobyerno!

    Kapag ang kausap mo ay gusto ng deal, lagay o SOP, ang tawag sa kanya Korean - kasi ang tanong niya "Magkano Korean? - magkano ako riyan?"

    Tapos yung Canadian naman - "Kana dito, kana diyan"
