A pretty much new Single Six from Ruger. Both cylinders (22lr and 22 win mag) with very faint drag lines on the cylinders indicating very few shots taken. 2003 vintage and all the bits are there. Didn't get a steal on it but got it at a decent price of $349. Fun little shooter.

A good-to-great price for a gun you'll never be able to wear out.

I've owned several of these over the last few decades, but until I recently started using an indoor range, I never knew the .22 Mag/WMR ammo gives a bit of muzzle flash. Gave me a start; thought I blew something up for a moment, then I remembered I was shooting a Ruger.

Nice choice! I had one that followed me home one day too.... love it. Solid guns, I have no real need for it, but I love shooting it.

Sweet. Very sweet. I have been toying with the idea of seeing if one of those would follow me home.
I think you did fine on the price considering that you got both cylinders.

Been looking for one for a while....was the first 22 pistol I shot. I've got a bunch of .22 mag ammo I don't have a gun for :whistling:

i am in the process of fitting it up as a "The Duke" rig. After doing some little bit of research as to how I wanted to go with it I decided I kind of liked that look and that idea. So this involves a particular style holster that John Wayne went to around 1950 in all his westerns and he also went to a Fake Ivory grip that were "tea Stained" yellow. The story is that he found and stained these himself. These he placed on a grip frame of a Single Action Army Revolver.

The grip frame here on the Single Six (and the Black Hawks and Vaquero's for that matter) are still very Single Action Army-ish in shape and size. The main differences are the sights, so while in the holster, it is hard to tell them from any other SAA clone. So this should work nicely for the whole concept but still be a cheap shooter and fun little western outfit.

I have someone making the holster. Which is a unique but often copied item so not hard to find someone to make one. And it reportedly was finished and shipped today. I found a set of fake Ivory grips on eBay and the seller assures me they will yellow. You know many fake ones will not these days as people want the material to be stable and white. So you do have to look around for fakes that will yellow like real ivory to be sure. I got those on for now but I am going to have to lay them out in the Sun to get the aging going.

here is a scanned picture of John Waynes famous set up...

Here is a quick phone cam shot of the Fake Ivories that will be turned into John Wayne Yellow.
