Well here it is, my RIA 1911 45 GI style.
a word oc advise is to clean the firing pin channel (as well as the rest of the gun) before you take it to the range.
Congrats. Can't go wrong with a RIA.
Anyone notice in the pics, the grip safety is almost flush and looks pushed all the way in? I've seen others which is visibly pushed "out". Is there a problem with this gun? Never owned a 1911 before so not sure.
that's not right. it should be out. i'm guessing that it's not contacting the sear spring properly and is stuck in the disengaged position.
Very nice my friend
Ok I just was playing around with it and I noticed its now "out" and I push it in and back out, I picked the gun up this morning and it was really cold out and the shop had lost heat over the night so the gun was cold, now that it's been adjusted to room temp, I think its fine. It does how ever stick some times but if I just touch the beaver tail or put pressure on it again it springs back.
clean it out. the RIA's that i've seen have had a lot of grease/lube packed in there.
Yeah, they come packed full of oil/grease.
Nice gun!! Let us know how it shoots.
Congrats I have one & they are Rock solid.
Mine is my avatar for November.
