Man is this a sweet rifle. Was able to to take it to the range today to put about 100 rounds down range. Was able to keep all shots in the 9-10 ring shooting with iron sights once it was zeroed.

    She's a beauty!

Now just get "a few" CMI 20 round mags and you will be set!

Maybe a dumb question, but is the M1A the same as an M14? Is it sort of like a AR15 is the civilian version of the M16/4?

M1A is Springfield Armory's name for their version of the semi auto M14.

They are my favorite rifle along with the M1-Garand rifle.

That is a real rifle, and a battle rifle at that. We shot my brother's M1 and then a Colt M4 right after that and the Colt felt like a toy compared to the M1. One is a rifle and the other is a "poodle shooter" to quote the late, great Col. Cooper.

Congrats on your new SA M1A. You are going to love shooting for years to come. I bought mine about three years ago. I love how accurate it is. I also have its Chinese counterpart, the Polytech M14S. It is nice to have both of them.
