ok so if we had a bullet pushing, say, 500 FT/LBS of energy, that would equate to 500 lbs moved one foot, or at least in physics, right? I understand Newton's third law, however, why isn't the shooter knocked down by 500 ft/lbs at the muzzle if the shooter is 190 lbs?
