Hey eve3ryone. I'm about to leave the Lone Star State for Ft. Stewart. Anything unique to Georgia fireams laws I need to know about? My understanding is that they have no AWB or mag capacity limits. Seems like the concealed carry license is restricted to the point of near uselessness for me, but I'll still get one anyway.

Any good ranges in the area? Any IDPA or IPSC clubs? Any restrictions on suppressors or SBRs in Ga?

Most importantly, since my wife is from New Mexico and has never been to the South much, where is the best southern BBQ place in the area!!!!

Can't tell you alot about the Savannah area, but I'm sure you'll like it.

There is no AWB restrictions, and no mag capacity limits. As far as I know there are no suppressor or SBR restrictions, as long as you have all your legal paperwork. You may have to check with the Chief LEO for the area.
Check out this link for help

Also check at for info on the suppressor or SBR questions. Go to the hometown section, then go to Georgia. Lot of great guys there.

As for the BBQ, you'll be in the south, trust me, you'll find some places.

    SEMPER FI, good luck !

If you are in the military service, you are exempt from a lot of the more oppressive laws in Georgia. I also recommend the two web sites linked above.
