I think it has been the other way around. Once the Dems took over in 06 the looting started & went fool tilt w/ PBO election. WE need a new sheriff back in town. Hopefully the Rep are upto to it. They certainly let things slip under BUsh. Let's try some good old fashioned ethics. Hmm, maybe that word doesn't exist in political cricles.:whistling:

I predict the election will result in a Congress filled with crooks, connivers and con-men. Obviously I am the one who is dead on... I'll PM you my address. BTW, are we talking 20 pounds of lead or PB powder? :dunno:

Right now the Dems look good for 48 and the Reps look good for 44 which leaves 8 tossup. I think the Dems will take 5 of those which would put them at 53 and the Reps at 47. Florida is the interesting one as Crist is running as independent and could win which would take one away from the Reps hence making it 53/46/1.

I'll post my house when I get 2 more minutes free.

    *EDIT*
The House is much tougher to predict as all 435 seats are up for grabs. Right now it looks like the Dems have 199 safe and the Reps have 203 which leaves 33 toss ups. Of those 33, 32 seats are currently held by Dems and 1 Rep. History tells us that people dont like to change and will vote for the incumbent even if they hate Congress ('94 was an exception of lots of pundits are saying this year could be another '94)---Im going with the idea that incumbents will do better than predicted (Historically House incumbents win over 90% of the time) Since Dems hold 32 of the tossups I say they take 20 of those 33 which puts them at 219 and the Reps at 216...

Without getting overly political in GTR.. I think we are going to see a massive revolt against Democrats. I'm not even sure if those "safe" Democratic seats are actually safe. There are so many folks angry at this health care debacle, and other things that the Democrats and their leader have done, it's amazing. I gauge this, simply by reading DU. This is the kook fringe of the Democratic party... always has been, and when they are complaining that someone like Obama is not liberal enough, it is down right scary to think what exactly they want in the WH...

I seriously think the Republicans will regain control of Congress.

God I hope you are wrong. If the American people do not wake up and see what the Democrats are doing too this country. If it not already too late we well be a Socialist country.

So do I... but I am very optimistic that the Republicans will gain a heavy majority in November(I'm actually more optimistic than Jay's post)... Main reason being, the way Obama rammed health care down our throats, show's he will do what he wants, no matter what the cost.

I forsee "swing" voters, voting conservative, to make sure any other agenda he has, will have no chance of passing.

    Washington (the state)
house 220 dems and the Reps at 215.
Senate 54dems and the Reps at 47.

I hope I am wrong. But I work with a bunch of far left democrats. Their only complaint is the left has been going to soft and to far right. Of course I live in a cali want to be state.

I think there are more liberal dems in Wash than Kalif actually. We just have them concentrated in the major cities where they can be bussed to the polls to vote.:tongueout: If SanFran & LA broke off in an earthquake, the rest fo the state would have a fighting chance.:whistling:

According to the Today Show this morning, the Lib's should be scared. So hopefully I will come in dead last in this thread. That would make my day.
