RIP. That whole area up in NE PA is growing worse by the day. Easton and the entire Lehigh Valley are talking a bad turn.

Moments before he was shot to death during a disturbance call Thursday evening, Freemansburg police officer Robert A. Lasso pointed his stun gun at two dogs that were attacking him.

Borough Police Chief George Bruneio instructed him to "shoot the dogs" and that's when the homeowner pulled out a shotgun and fired the fatal blast, authorities say in court documents.

Lasso, a seven-year veteran of the department, fell to the ground and Bruneio ordered the suspect, George Hitcho Jr., to drop the gun.

It sounds to me like Mr. Bruneio should be a full-time 7-11 guard. What the hell was he doing while the DBIQ was "pulling out" a shotgun? DROP THE GUN??? You've got to be kidding! Worthless POS :steamed:

    RIP Officer Lasso :fallenofficer:

This is just sad. Sounds like that chief needs to retire forthwith.
