I finally made it to the range a few days ago. So I figured I'd post some impressions on my V2 P30 9 mm.

I shot about 200 rounds of four types of ammo at a distances from 3 - 7 yards. Speer Lawman 125 grain, Blazer Brass 115 grain, Remington UMC 115 grain, and Speer Gold Dot 125 grain.

First the LEM trigger. I'm not in love with it yet. When dry firing, it didn't seem overly heavy, but at the range it seemed a lot heavier. It required more concentration on my part to keep the gun on target through the whole firing sequence. It took several rounds to get use to, seeing the hammer go back on each round was slightly distracting as well. I'm more consistently accurate with my wife's SA/DA P2000SK.

The gun is very accurate. If I did my part it would hit the 10 ring. Although 15 - 21 feet isn't exactly pushing anything. I didn't do my part enough times to consider carrying it yet. Not to mention I have to buy a holster. I think if I install the larger grip panels (I know, I should have done that already) that will help as well.

There gun functioned perfectly. The H&K quality is there. Sliding the full magazine home always felt great. Recoil was low, even with the Gold Dot ammo. The gun definitely preferred the higher power stuff though. With UMC the ejection was noticeably less forceful, the brass would only rise a couple inches above the slide, and the direction of ejection was somewhat erratic. No such issues with the Blazer or Speer loads. I will be staying away from UMC for this one.

To sum it up. Great gun, feed it higher power 9 mm, not in love with the heavy LEM yet. I may do the conversion to V1, although I have to do some research if there will be any carry implications with having a lighter trigger and no safety before I do that.

    Thanks for the report.

I've been meaning to pick up one of those. :)

In DA mode or SA mode? Most people range blasting with DA/SA pistols never decock for their first shot. Bad habit to pick up.

You'll enjoy the Lite LEM modification. I bought mine in that configuration from TGS, and it's really a great trigger system. My other H&Ks are DA/SA, but are still outstanding.

I've only run 124 and 147 gr. ammo through mine, al without issue.
