I have my eye on a new P229 SAS .40. I don't like the new E grip. I have a set of P229 Black aluminum grips in my safe. If I buy the screws can I change the grips back to the older style sig grips, or should I look for a used P229.

    Don't know about the P229.

    I have a classic P220 that's 1998 vintage, with stamped steel slide.
Modern SRT trigger kit fits, new stainless steel slides work, grips, screws...
work. Got a 5.5" stainless barrel from a P220 Sport, that Sig customer service told me would not fit,
and it fits like a glove and shoots all aces.

Sigs are pretty famous for being compatible within a line of pistols.
As long as it's the same basic version of the gun.
