Woohoo! Great day yesterday when the FedEx guy rang the doorbell :)

Sent an old LE trade-in P229 back to SIG for the following:

SIG Service Package (includes new SIGLites)
    SRT installation
    E2 grip installation

Gotta say, it's probably my favorite right now. I don't have any holsters that fit except for a Remora, so I carried it with that yesterday.

The pistol box was filled with a bunch of springs and the old grips, along with a big T-handled tool to remove the one-piece grip. It's so smooth, and the gunsmith did a really nice job with it. I am happy that I was able to keep the fat trigger, because I really don't like the thinner trigger.

I'll probably take it out to the range this weekend to see how it performs now.

I'm waiting for the new E2 DAK grips for the 229 to finally start popping up for sale, and I'm going to convert my Gen 1 SAS.

Love my P229. They are great guns! I don't carry mine because it is much heavier and difficult to conceal than my Glocks, but I think it would perform well as a CCW with a little thought. SIGs are extremely accurate pistols. You won't be disappointed.

Can I ask how much all of that cost you, including shipping?

    E2: 79
    shipping: 55

Took them a week for the upgrades after they received it until it arrived back at my place. It was their Father's Day special that they advertised, and I got in just in time for the discount.

  5. I love the E2 kit. Cost me 60 bucks plus shipping from topgun.

It's a lot nicer than the two-piece grips on the other SIGs I've got, and I would probably only go with this grip going forward. There were additional pieces in the ziploc bag of original parts sent back, and some look like they may have been swapped out (like the mainspring block, for example) to make room for the slimmer grip.
