Well, I don't have the P220 but I did just recently acquire the P229 SAS Gen II in two-tone (9mm). An OUTSTANDING pistol in every way! I think the 'blending' is tasteful. The SRT ROCKS! The N/S are great. And the lack of a rail is a huge bonus for me. I also like the DA/SA as opposed to DAK on the original SAS guns.

    Excellent choice! :wavey:

 I am real impressed with the progressively wound mag spring. It negates the 6 round mag feed jams I've experienced so often on 3" Brl 6 round guns. On a 3.9" P220C3 only 72 rounds so far with230gr lead ball at 800FPS+-. But this is my fourth Sig since 1985 or 86. Zero problems even with silver tips (soft nose) of that 1985 era. I just can only reach the trigger on the old 1986 P225 in DA.

I found out last night that my P220 Carry SAO will feed empty cases! I don't think anything that has a beveled profile (read: bullet) will be able to jam this thing, ever.

I'm still waiting on delivery they said 3 to 4 weeks and I'm chomping at the bit. I already own a couple thousand rounds for a pistol I dont have yet due to an opportunity to opt into a group buy of ammo in which one guy dropped out of. Dealer offered me a new Equinox yesterday but it does not have the SRT trigger so I declined.

Well Rockjock, did you ever get the gun? I have one on order too and would like to see some pictures of your 220 SAS if possible.

3 month wait for me, but it's worth it.

Also, the SRT ruined it for all other Sigs IMO. It's a great trigger.

I love my P220R/DAK. I also have P239/DAK 40sw on order since 04/02/10. Sig told me that they have to get 48 orders before they start making and shipping :dunno:. I am 35th on the list.

rfd339, How did you find out your place on the list?

I ordered an Elite stainless P220 carry on 5-4-2010. Beginning to get a little impatient.

Called Sig and gave dealers name. He deals with them direct so I gave them the name and date ordered and what I was ordering. Also my dealer showed me what they had in stock, (meaning Sig) and they have squat for on hand inventory:shocked:. I order my 239 on 04/01/10 and was told , as soon as they get the 1st 48 pistols ordered and completed they would ship. They are very back ordered right now from what I was told. All I can tell you , be patient because you don't want a rushed put together handgun.

rfd339 Thank you and you are right about not wanting a rush job.

By the way, Ashville is a real nice place. I was borned and raised over in Maggie Valley.

TopGunSupply and SCPFirearms are great Sig dealers and are active Sigsters on Sig Forum.

Yeah , I ordered a G27 from TGS (great CS). I also asked about the 239DAK40 but none were stock, not even a CPO. Thanks for the other dealer Cobra , I will check with them also.
