P 238

Discussion in 'The Sig Sauer Club' started by DAKA, May 25, 2010.

  1. Now I ask, too late I just ordered one to replace my "old" Beretta Mod 20 .25 (for sale) as a BUG...
What is the general feeling about this gun?

    Beretta is gone...238 soon !!

Got mine, slightly used, from my bud. Have, maybe, 200 rounds through it without any problem.
Now, the affordability/availability of ammo is a different story....

I bought a new 238SAS and love it. runs perfect and will feed and fire everything I have been able to find. probably 600 rounds through it so far and it is one of my most fun guns to shoot. you will have a blast!

I am also quite happy with the 238. Mine shoots well with either factory or reloads. It's a bit heavy for a 380 so I usually carry a LCP instead.

dave - but the LCP is not 'fun' to shoot

I'm not a big fan, but seem to be in the minority here. :)

    Congrats either way.
  6. I'm not a big fan of it either. For the $550/$600 price tag , I'll stick with my $300 Bersa thunder 380 conceal carry that has been great since took from the box.

I really like the gun but unfortunately after 300 rounds I had to send it back to SIG. It jams feeding/extracting about 2-3 rounds in 15-20 This is when using 2 magazines and 5-6 different rounds.

The trigger pull has become so hard that the last time I shot it I checked twice to see if I had left the safety ON.

Since I've seen the exact same feeding problems on the Internet, I don't hold much hope that the gun will ever be reliable enough to carry.

Too bad, because for me it's about the perfect pocket carry gun and very accurate.
    10 yards. Standing, 2 hands.

The recoil spring became distorted and weak before 300 rounds. New spring on the bottom.
