My Mom in law and another relative use sets of lenses(old school)called eye refractometer na nilalagay sa frame na sinusuot ng patients to check refractive error ng mata , may sign sya na - and + na may corresponding numbers which they call grado or grade.

Kaiser is right depende sa thickness and curvature(convex - concave lenses)yung magiging grado ng mata.

I remember nauutusan pa ko date na magpagawa ng eye glasses sa may quiapo (evangelista/raon) .

Now a days meron na yatang automatic refractometer.
