If I wanted to give some BUIS and an ACOG or EOtech to a buddy that's going back to Iraq, would there be USMC regulations prohibiting him from bringing/using them? I haven't spoken to the guy in a couple of years, but I feel it's the least I could do with all this crap sitting in my safe while he's being "recalled" after a few years out. If they don't issue that sort of thing to Marines on a regular basis there's no reason it should be sitting in my home while he's over there, but I don't want to give him stuff they aren't going to let him use, either.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help me out with info. I understand there may be differences in regulations/equipment/etc depending on many factors and there may be no certain yes or no answer available. If it matters, he was (I believe) mechanized infantry during the initial push into Iraq.

He will most likely already be issued an ACOG.
