I have been reading about and considering Openoffice for some time now. Since I already have office XP, it hasn't really been a burning issue.

However, I have a friend for whom I'm helping to build a system on a pretty tight budget and I just installed Openoffice for her. I am completely amazed. It rendered some of my more complex MS Office spreadsheets, presentations and documents flawlessly. The only glitch is its (apparent) inability to use some of the MS VBA macros that I've built (although Openoffice's BASIC implementation seems pretty powerful itself).

Anyone else using openoffice? Any glaring problems that you're regularly encountering? So far, I couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the price.;a
