Congrats, once you go middy you never go back.:wavey:

It really is a solution to a problem.

I am starting to see that. More than anything, I think the middy is what the 16" carbine should be.

Been thinking about one for some time now.

I am plenty happy with M4 type 14.5" barrels with the carbine gas systems, but a 16" rifle just makes way too much sense with the mid length.

I think I have been fully converted to the mid length way of thinking.

If you shoot a 16 carbine or 14.5 carbine back to back with a middy you "should" be able to feel the difference. I was skeptical of this too, but darned if I coundn't feel it too.

The mid-length is sweet,.....but I will not dump my M4 for it.

That is a nice looking rifle. Congrats on your new purchase. I just went to a Mid-Length AR this past summer. I am hooked also.

Here is a pic of mine.

Good looking Rifle. BCM's are great. I know it will serve you well.

I just received and put together my BCM middy last month.
Upper and Lower. I could not be more pleased.

    Enjoy it and good luck.

You will be interested in this middy then (knowing your affinity for light weight rifles):

It is a 14.5" middy (permanent FH), lightweight profile (pencil thin). I did it to save a few ounces with the shorter barrel. No carry handle = more weight savings. I found that the Magpul furniture also saves a little more. Altogether the rile is 5.4 lbs. unloaded.

I wish I had gotten a middy when I ordered my BCM carbine upper. A BCM mid-length is next on my list.

I fell for the Midlengths right off. Never have owned a carbine.
