I always thought sub-compact or "baby glocks" weren't for me. Well I was wrong. I shot a buddy's G26 again a few weeks ago and found it to be very easy to shoot and accurate. I decided to get one for myself and proudly report 500 rounds in 2 weeks through the gun and it has been awesome! Super easy to handle, the lack of pinky on the grip doesn't seem to bother my draw or recoil management. It simply disappears under a t-shirt. Fantastic!!! Since it passed the 300+ round with 100% reliability it also got my own stippling job, marking that it will stay in the stable.

Nice, an OD 26 is my EDC, it took me a couple of range trips to get good with it but it rocks now!

Love the grip on my G26 Gen4. But the grip on your Gen 3 is looking good!

Do you carry it in a cargo pocket or your front somehow? What holster are you using for pocket carry?

I actually like the pinky finger mod for the mini-guns. I did it on my G26 and my wife's G26 as well as my G30. Makes things more controllable.

Wow, your stippling job looks great, I've seen stippling that people wanted to charge for that looked horrible, yours is the first I've seen I'd even consider having. Nice crisp lines on the edges.

Maybe you should do a step by step video?

Thanks reade! I have done a few friends' pistols as well. I did a quick video a while back showing what technique I use, although it's on a polymer mag and not a pistol:

Love my 26. Honestly I someone said I had to defend my life with a pistol and said I couldnt have my 17 but only the 26, I wouldn't be bummed (at gun choice not being forced to a gunfight). It's the only subcompact I'd feel comfortable going to war/fight with. I don't consider it a compromise at all. Shoots great, runs flawlessly, conceals well allowing me to bend at the waist, takes G17 reloads. I love that gun.

Compliments on the stipple job. Looks super classy. Will probably do both mine eventually.

I agree with that. I have the 26, 19, and 17 and don't feel like the 26 is any less of a gun than the others so to speak. I am very effective with it. Aside from round count, the 19 and 17 only offer any real advantage to me when shooting out beyond 15 yards or so.

It actually makes me wonder why I have all three. I think if I had to dump one of my Glocks it would be the 17 as I have less use for it than the 26 or 19.
