    Hello!

I recently bought my first Glock (19) and I absolutely love it! I am approaching 200 rounds now and want to clean it, but before I do that I must know - should I be oiling anything on the slide, maybe the rails?

I know with other guns it is very recommended to oil the rails to protect against friction and also corrosion. Is this not the case for Glocks? I've read mixed responses and want to know from an expert.

    Thanks!

200 rds is almost a day at the range. Its about 100 rds short of a standard tournament.
Clean your gun when it is plenty dirty or exposed to water. Oil the rails when you clean it.
