  I know I heard Strickland is one of Hillary's top five for pos. VP if she wins the nomination!!! Then we can have anti-gun Lee Fisher for Governor since our great Governor selected him, an anti-gun idiot, as his running mate!!! Strickland rocks!!!

She might want a conservative Democrat like Strickland to balance the ticket.

Strickland is not conservative except on gun issues!
He was our congressman for years. The only reason he pretended to be progun is because he knew it was necessary to be elected in rural southern Ohio. He is liberal on all other major issues.

One of the more honest posts I have read about Gov. Strickland. I do believe he is a good person with good intentions. He lost a lot of my respect when he made Lee Fisher his Lt. Gov. and before anyone feels the need to post, I understand the Lt. Gov. does very little, but the Lt. Gov. does become Gov. if the Gov. can not serve his term, remember that!!

I hate to take issue with you on this point, but Ted Strickland has not PRETENDED to be pro-gun, he has in fact been consistently pro-gun in his voting record throughout his tenure as an elected official. He voted against the 1994 assault weapons bill, and has consistently sided with gun owners ever since.

Contrast that with "friends" like Deborah Pryce, who gun owners went to bat for in the latest election, who voted for the 1994 AWB, agsinst its repeal in 1996, and voted for the 1996 lautenberg ammendment (by virtue of voting for the much larger legislative package which it was attached to). etc. She claims to have flipped at a time when she REALLY REALLY needed to, and her flip has not, and is not likely to be tested.

Who again was the wolf in sheep's clothing?

Dan has it right on the money..

I find it a bit hypocritical that ofcc endorsed against Strickland yet were the first in line for an appearance. Strickland is the most pro gun Govenor wewe've had in many years. Taft and King George both republican and supposed supporters of the 2a did everything they could to hurt gun owners. If we fail to get castle doctrine it will be due to republican leadership not gov Strickland. This is just my opinion although it's based on facts.

Gotta disagree with you on this one Knight.
Don't place all the apples in one basket with the bad ones. Taft and King George were 'rogues', Republican in in name only! RINO'S! The Republican base never cared for them. The entire party and/or slate of Republican politicians are not like them!

Just like Strickland doesn't reflect (on the 2A), what most (if not all) other Democrats do.

I look for politicians who cherish the 2A, regardless of party.
