If Obama were re-elected, 48 percent of voters say they would feel the “country’s improving” and they would “look forward” to another four years, while almost as many -- 42 percent -- say they would feel the country is “going down the drain” and would “dread” a second term.

What worries me is the anti someone candidate never wins, al gore and bob dole proved that, and Romney is definitely the anti Obama candidate . If the candidate can not stand on their own and generate passion in the base they can not win.

It's hard to remember (or imagine) now that McCain was ahead in the polls about a month before the election back in 2008.

Yeah -- by anywhere from 6 to 12 percent, from what I'm hearing...Call it 9 percent in general.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the people doing the polling (for some of the polls) actually admit that...

It wouldn't surprise me. That's the way it is, usually...besides asking the questions in a way that will have better chances of a favorable (for 'them') result.

I still don't think that Romney can win the Electoral College. He needs to win OH, FL, & VA to have a chance. I just don't see him winning all three states (as much as I pray that happens).

Northern Va is a suburb of DC and is full of DC dems. Otherwise we are a pretty conservative state.

In an election this close, anyone paying a lot of attention to polls must also enjoy watching fleas fornicate: No big deal and the whole situation will change in a few seconds.

I'm counting on you guys to neutralize and overwhelm the idiots surrounding me...

I figure McDonnell's sterling job on the economy, and Cooch's efforts against the Obamacare monstrosity, have to count for something...

The mainstream media will never run a story saying obummer's lead is slipping or gone
