The Obama campaign is starting to realize there are consequences to saying things like "you didn't build that." It was one of those 'Joe the plumber' moments when Obama went off teleprompter and it didn't sit well with most folks who heard it.
So now what does the Obama campaign do? Just say Mitt Romney is lying and Obama really didn't say this. That's the way the Obama campaign will run - just keep lying...
We know EXACTLY what Obama -- and Elizabeth Warren before him -- are saying.

The government OWNS your success -- period.
Yet another instance of Obama not accepting responsibility for something he has done, by now the whole country has heard him say it.
Your a little late for this Obumbler,we heard it and know what you said.
He would've been smarter to not say anything and the public would forget about it.Now there a people who didn't hear it the first time are picking up on it.
What an Obumbler.
Obama is right about this, the private sector invests in roads and bridges.
Am I the only guy who hears his statement framed by "roads and bridges" and "the internet" and understands that was what he was referring to, as no single business built either? If you own a business, you did not build the interstate system, or the internet, goverment did. The same socialized group that provides your law enforcement, fire / ems, water, and trash service.
Guess what? Business owners didn't build this nation. Our grandparents, parents, and we continue as a great nation to work together through pooling our tax dollars, and serving our communities to make this nation what it is.
Yes, you are the only one.
Government doesn't get to claim credit for the success of businesses because it's providing services it's required to provide.
That's like saying, I won the Olympic gold medal because I sold Michael Phelps a sandwich.
It's an asinine statement and it tries to feed into the narrative that the other side wants no government.
And individuals and businesses pay taxes that both build and maintain those Roads and businesses.
More accurately, business owners actually paid for the roads and bridges.
Business owners generate a lot more income than the leeches that get something for nothing at the fringe. Which is soon to become a majority.
Welfare, with the scuttling of workfare will quickly lead to an empowered serf class, that can vote themselves a larger and larger share of the lords and merchants coffers.
For some reason I don't think obama was talking about tax payers.
Barry was essentially saying what any community organizer would say. If you shopped at a grocery store with your food stamps, you have every right to claim a large portion of the profits of that store to live off of. After all, by choosing walmart over H.E.B. those crackers owe you a house, a flat screen TV, a nice car, after market rims, game consoles, smartphones, food, water, electricity.... ad infinitum.
Food stamps and unemployment checks create jobs. According to democrats anyhow.
It's funny -- the more a leftist tries to dig Obama out of the hole he dug, the more idiotic both of them appear.
This one may be the 'It all depends on what the meaning of "is" is' moment for this administration. I think it will have more legs than the Julia presentation or the "private sector is doing fine" shtick. If you have to parse syntax to try to show you were actually talking about roads or internet, your message is OFF-message.
The funny thing about the Joe-the-plumber "spread the wealth" comment: I think that comment WAS misinterpreted! The standard collectivist cry was "SHARE the wealth". "SPREAD the wealth" was an old capitalist slogan, and was part of Henry Ford's original thought when he raised pay for his auto workers from $2.60 a day to a full $5 a day!
Maybe this will finally become obvious to the blind. He keeps talking and it becomes easier to see that the leftest progressives are flat out lying about a system that can't possibly succeed.
Politicians are people that think of themselves as great orators. They often don't think of the meaning of the words they say. They say the words that sound the most impressive to them, when strung together.
Obama + Blomberg --Think before the speech.
