How about this one: Don't act a fool, and you won't get sprayed. Seems simple to me.

    Circling the wagons.
The guy's name is Tony Bologna. Seriously.

What the hell was a deputy inspector doing mixing it up with the protestors, anyway?

On the other side I am not sure (as tempting as it was) why he sprayed them?
Problem is, things like this could spark a fire which could get fast out of control, like the LA Riots.
Is a inspector like a Lt??

Reminds me of the white shirt in Boston who used an FN pepperball gun to light up a crowd, hitting a woman climbing a wall in the eye, causing her to fall to her death. He was never qualified on the use of the weapon.

The use major clusters as insignia and are between a Inspector and a Captain.

  12. The Patrol Guide is the NYPD bible. It's a 3" binder of how to do anything... including tie your shoes

I'm sure they can find something in there to hang the boss if they REALLY want to. But I doubt it. White shirt immunity FTW!

Hey thanks, I always wondered where Inspectors fell in the mix. It always seemed like that title should be more of a "working man" position like Detective or Investigator... but obviously not.

Keep in mind, it's being used against a bunch of folks that are probably neither drunk, high, mentally disturbed, or particularly determined. They are probably also smart enough to know that a big flop for the cameras beats smearing it off and asking for more as far as their cause is concerned.
