Has anyone taken advantage of this new option for NREMT re-cert? Is it simply a version of the NREMT exam that I took the first time? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Stay safe out there.

The recert by exam is utilizing the new Computer Adaptive Testing method thru person VUE testing centers. ( No, it is not just the old paper and pencil put on a computer). You can only attempt one time for recert. It costs a about 100 for I/85/99 or 110 for medic. But then you dont have to sit thru 36/48 hrs of refresher. You still need con-ed hours in addtion.
I have a few going to take it this month, so they can take refresher if they dont pass. You can check out EMSCAT.com for a good pratice site ( Don't know what it costs as an indiviual). You can get more info on NREMT web site www.nremt.org

I don't claim to know everything, but My full time job is a program director for EMS and teaching Paramedic Students. Be glad to try to answer any thing else I can.

    Take Care,
    DAN
