I'm stuck in Illinois (without my carry) at my in-laws listening to my MIL scream at my infirm FIL.

I'm not the only miserable person in this house, so I figured there must be some other folks out there who are SOL as well.

Given the locale, I won't be getting any New Years Bliss tonight either (walls are paper thin).

Family, working or just lonely... Who's miserable with me?

Not miserable here, just getting over being sick. Sorry for your situation though, sounds crappy.

Its miserable for me too. In a few days, I'm leaving all I know and love (again) to go to Korea for 15 months. My final stint in the Army.........all I gotta do is get through 15 months, and I'm a civilian again.

Its really gonna suck leaving my wife here in the states, but it was either 3 years in Alaska, or 15 months in Korea. :crying:

That was everytime I went to visit the inlaws, until my FIL died. However, the difference being, I can carry anywhere in the U.S.

Since you have had to listen to your MIL screaming, the least she could do is listen to you make your wife scream (in pleasure of course). Turn about is fair play. You are married after all.

Sunset tour, active reserves or just end of tour and getting out? I have a few friends planning their 20 year sunset tours right now.

Good luck out there.. It's a sacrifice many of us have made, you're not alone and your brothers are there right by your side, while its not your wife, those bonds last forever too, and maybe there's some solace in that.

I don't enjoy the Army enough to give 3 more years of my life to it.

I appreciate the kind words. I'll have 8 years in when I get out. I'm just going to Korea, then getting out.

Yeah, my cousin's husband is BP and brags about carrying everywhere and anywhere (and having priority through airport security too: jealous).

You're naughty... My wife isn't. That's not happening for me tonight :).

I'll have some bubbly and a kiss at midnight, then maybe take some melatonin and get some sleep. Flying home to Texas to be with my G30 tomorrow :).
