I took my Level IV PPO class Thur. and Fri. The OC spray BLOWS..........
Toughen up, buttercup!
Nah, you look like you got a good dose. Teaches you some respect for the stuff if nothing else.
I swear, I've gotta be the only person I know that really doesn't mind the stuff that much. I don't ENJOY it, but it's not unbearable.
Good on ya for surviving!
I can tell you I have MUCH repect for it now. He missed my eyes the first 2 times so I got sprayed 3 times. I guess my body just don't care much for it. It wasn't as much the pain, but I got sprayed at 11:00 am and at 1:30 I was still having trouble keeping my eyes open.
Yeah, some people are just more sensative to it than others. One of the guys I used to work with acted like he'd been shot in the face with buckshot if he even got a whiff of it. Don't get me wrong, it's not what I do for fun, but if I get sprayed, I get sprayed. The thing that really bugs me about it is that half second where it kinda smells sweet, just before you start coughing. It's like "Oh this isn't so bad, in fact it's kinda ni-GACK!"
If I had to go either taser or OC, I would take the taser.
At least it's over after 5 seconds!
Sometimes when people talk about getting sprayed I remember this one very troublesome inmate who got the spray, the pepper balls, what have you. It got to where the friggin seg unit smelled like OC.
Then there was a fellow staff member who did what she was supposed to do in a unit that got really rowdy. It smelled like cayenne for about a week. Good thing is I eat the occasional very spicey for a meal, but it's not the same as inhaling it.
