The Northbridge fan on my Abit IC7G-Max is making quite the racket, and I know I can get a new one from Abit (this seems to be a big issue from I what I can tell via Google), but I was thinking on getting an aftermarket one instead.

Thermaltake makes one called the Tiger 1, anyone else have some suggestions? I use an Alpha on my P4 (heck, I use Alphas on everything I build for myself).

Zalman makes a heatsink for the northbridge that doesn't use a fan. From what I have read about them, they seem to cool better than some with fans.

Especially that Made In Taiwan IC7 fan!! Those things are rated MTBFR @ 6 months or so.

Awful shoddy, if you ask me.

Actually, the last time I yanked one for a client I installed a Zalman (passive) NB cooler and a CNPS7000B CPU cooler.

The thing never ran better. Or quieter!
