Norinco 98 with folding stock?

Discussion in 'Tactical Shotguns' started by GTKAYAKER, Mar 3, 2011.

I'm confused. Can I legally install a folding stock on a Norinco 98 (Rem 870 clone) without violating 922r ? I have seen some discussion on this topic that says 922r only applies to semiauto shotguns but 922r says "It shall be unlawful for any person to assemble from imported parts any semiautomatic rifle or any shotgun". If 922r does apply for "any shotgun" then would the imported part count be 12 parts? Thanks for any enlightenment.

Yep it does read "ANY SHOTGUN." They restrict imported shotguns to 5 round max capacity. I don't think there has been a official government letter posted to clearify exactly how many parts the 98 has from the usual list. Write them and find out. I am sure many others would be interested also.
