No trout, only bass (and one walleye)

Supposedly, the DoW has dumped a load of 10" catchable rainbow trout at Chatfield Resevior, but today's trip coughed up four smallmouth bass running between 14"-18" and yet another 20" plus walleye.

White tube jigs along the rip rap were the ticket. Fish them slow and set the hook on anything that feels weird. Hits weren't particularly hard. Water temps are colder than normal, and today's front won't do much for aggressiveness. Get out early or late, since the Idiot Patrol will be out in force.

So, if any of you CO GT'ers are looking for decent warm-water fishing, Chatfield Resevoir is a pretty good bet.
