I always thought the copper part was supposed to go down the barrel (although it's probably easier to load mags this way...)

The rangemaster for my dept. (a guy who literally plays on the range, polices brass, sets up and takes down targets, does the landscaping, etc... all day long and is on the firing line whenever any shot is fired) has never had any problems with lead exposure, they make him get tested every 6 months to be sure. Sipping on a diet-coke while reloading isn't going to make you sick. Well the diet coke might, but lead won't.

    And the problem is?

A cup of Java handy to put out primer detonations. Standard equipment.

I try to limit the coffee when I'm loading .223 with a flat base bullet. I wind up picking each of them up off the floor 4 times.

I don't know anything about eating or not eating hot of cold lead. But I do know jack goes good in a coffee cup. With a splash of diet coke because I am trying to lose weight.

It's easy to spot someone who knows their way around a reloading bench. Did you know diet Coke is a great degreaser?
