NJ Black Rifle Regs?

Discussion in 'Tri State Glockers' started by Matrix62, Feb 17, 2008.

  1. Anyone up on their NJ regulations for AR clones? I am thinking of building one someday. I am making sure I am up on the rules before I start. The following stuff is pretty much out:

The name "AR" (no Colt only clones?)
    Collapsable Stocks
    Bayonet & Bayonet Lugs
    Flash Suppressor
High Cap Mags (more than 15)

What about barrel lengths? Is 14.5 inch ok? I would probably go 16 inch anyway for more reliability but I am just curious.

Any receiver is fine as long as it itsn't stamped AR15. Barrel length must be at least 16". 14.5 is OK as long as you pin and weld a brake on it to make it 16". No working bayonet lugs or flashhiders. No telescoping / collapaseable or folding stocks. Mags must be no more than 15 rounds.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but does something like this (The part about not having the banned list name stamped on the receiver, along with not having banned parts like bayonet lugs) apply to all firearms?

Can I own an SA-58 while I'm not allowed to own a FAL?

Can I own an Arsenal SA-M7 while I'm not alowed to own an AK47?

Yup, you can own a WASR-10, but cannot own anything with AK in it.
