Our prayers are with their families and all firefighters and EMS members affected by this tragedy.

Having several professional and volunteer firefighters and EMTs in the family, we know what it's like hearing the tones, the front door closing and a family member leaving to perform their duties.

    God Bless All...

The fire melted the structure holding up the roof.

I tried to sneak the flag down to half mast. It only lasted about three hours before the Chief received complaints from the veterans.

The first thing I did when I got to the station this morning was lower the flag to half mast. This was done out of respect for the fallen firefighers. We did not receive a single complaint today about it.

My condolences from Texas. Losing one is bad, nine is worse.

Ours have all been down since Tuesday morning, as well as the one at my house. They will stay down until the last brother is sent home.
