Regarding night sights, is it better to have tritium insert(s) in the rear sight, or leave it plain black and have a tritium front sight only? I’ve seen arguments both ways and I was hoping you could share your experiences and opinion. I understand that sights are like shoes in that we each have to find what fits us best, but I would still like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Thanks for your help and all the time you spend with us in this forum.

As you know, there are different schools of thought on that. A number of sharp trainers in shooting and officer survival feel that the front sight is enough, and in close they're probably right. Others have found that front and back night sights give better results, particularly at longer distances or for a precision shot, and my experience has led me to that second camp.

However, few things are more subjective than eyesight and preferred gunsights. Best bet is always to try each in some night shooting at varying distances and see which approach works best for you.
