Anyone here go the Trust route in Ohio? What specifics do I need to be aware of here in the Buckeye state?

    Thanks!

Yeah, no special requirements for Ohio. I ponied up and had an attorney draft one up. They used a template from guntrustlawyers.

That's the way I'm going. What I don't understand is the whole beneficiary thing. I was told by someone that I could use a charity like the Second Amendment Foundation or something similar. I'd prefer to do it that way since I don't have any children and there isn't anyone in my family I could leave the items to.

Once I have a straight answer on the beneficiary thing I'm going to find a attorney. I don't feel comfortable using Quicken or similar. To me, it's better I have a attorney draft the trust. He may know of things in the law that I'm unaware of.

Ending up in the Federal Pen is a really bad way to find out that you made a mistake on your trust! I'll gladly pay an attorney the $300 to do it. It's cheap insurance!

    Well bless your heart! :hugs:

I think I have it sorted out though. I'm probably going to use a Non Profit Charity as the beneficiary. I just haven't decided which one(s) yet.
