I am 44 years old and have been collecting and shooting guns a very long time. I have never had a Glock...until now.I have had every other kind of pistol, from cheap crap to high dollar 1911's. I have been reading on how realible and tough these Glocks were and decided it was time to give one a try.I went to the gun store last week and couldn't decide between the G23 or G27...so I left with both. ouch. I have shot both of the now 200 rounds each. Not one problem. So far I am very impressed, but I see this could get expensive. I stopped today a looked at a G22.I will get some more rounds through them both, and hope all goes well.

I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six

Both the guns I got are Gen4 The G22 I looked at was a gen3. Is the difference worth the extra $50 or not?

Congrats on your new guns. I have a G23 Gen4 and a G27 Gen3 and love that combination. They go together well.

I also want to get a G22 to go with them.

The Gen 4 comes with an extra mag over the Gen 3.Plus the backstraps and textured grip like your 23 & 27. The 22 Gen 4 also has the dual recoil spring which is suppose to lesson felt recoil.

    Howdy. Congrats.

I had a G22. Then I sold it. :crying: Don't be like me. Buy a G22 and then do not sell it. :wavey:

$50 difference: Up to you. If you like the grip texture, mag release size increase and the grip feel then yep. Plus it comes with three magazines instead of two like the Gen 3.

I guess if I had all Gen 4 in a particular caliber I would probably keep going until I had them all.

I have been carrying a Kahr PM40 for the last year or so.I like it ok ,but I wanted to replace it with the G27, The 27 is a little fat, but so am I. I hope to make the switch after iI get a little more used to the 27

Awesome to hear! I love my G22 I just bought. I only have a few hundred rounds through with and only about 3 brands of ammo so far. Flawless, no ejection issues, nothing. It's perfection :D

If you get the Gen4 G22 then you also have the benefit of the dual recoil spring. Honestly that is the only reason I would want a Gen4 over a Gen3, but alas I live in CA so no Gen4 for me :(
