    Hello,
I am running XP2 on DSL and have an Epson scanner. How would one go about hooking this all up to use as a fax machine, and also send letters directly to fax? All help is needed and appreciated,

I tried for a few weeks to get my fax to work with my HS internet.

    Tried a distictive ring. Nope
Tried wait for the beep. Nope
Tried dedicate software and found it easier to use online provider. (I think it was fax pro. It was nice, but it had a problem with the HS internet sometimes. With a dedicated phone line it was excellent)

When I needed it, I finally got a dedicated fax line for $30 month. Had it for two years, cancelled it when faxes went out of style a few years ago saving $360 a year in phone line charges.

If I have to fax now I can send and recieve through

    fax.com
    efax.com
    ringcentral.com

I've used the 30 day free trial with efax once then cancelled at 28 days. Worked great. (Lots of junk though)

    I haven't needed to use/send/recieve a fax in over a year.

I request all contracts via PDF email attachments or snail mail.

    No problems so far.
