so Im new to the GSSF thing and going to my first event. I see that there will be a GLOCK armorer that will replace small parts, springs and such. my question is will they have items such as (-) connectors there also?

(-) minus connectors and marine spring cups are available to LE only with a letter from your Chief or equivalent on department letterhead.

Doesn't the G34/35 and the longslides come with the (-) connnector? I think the marine spring cups are available to LE only but the minus connector I think you can get from pretty much any place that seels Glock parts.

You can get either one of them online. Armorer's price for the (-) connector is the same as their other connectors - 3 bucks. Online (black market-or whatever you choose to call it) they are $20-$25. Marine cups, same deal; 2 bucks for an (LE) armorer, about $15 online.

Glock will replace (-) connectors that are bad, in a gun that came with the minus connector. But connectors don't go bad and if they did, Glock would take the old before replacing with the new.

Glock will neither sell nor install a "-" connector or marine spring cups, and will not install any aftermarket part except sights. It's a corporate liability issue/policy.

That's the irony... Glock only makes them available to the group who needs or uses them the least - if at all.

My 34 was an OD Blue Label and didn't have the (-) connector - but I wasn't going to pass up an OD! So... 18 bucks later, all was well.

Well, good luck this weekend - and in finding an OEM (-) connector in such short a time.

Our resident forty-shooter/forty-lover (mike g35) will be thinking of you.

My 17 has a - connector but it feels heavier and grittier than my wife's without the -connector. I tried polishing it today, but it did not improve.

Do you think theyd swap it ?

in all honesty, don't think you are going to "buy" performance with replacement parts. I just graduated to master and all my shooting was with glocks with all original parts except for night sights on my subcompact and 10-8 performance sights on my 19. Practice is what gets you better. GSSF is not an equipment race- which is why it is one of my favorite competitions- show up with your stock glock and cheap blasting ammo and do your best!

while were on the subject- don't get into what I call paralysis by analysis- just apply the fundamentals and shoot!
I shot very well this year and did it using no less than 5 brands of 9mm ammo- it was not unusual for me to have multiple brands of ammo loaded in a single magazine!
