Any other NY Glockers here?? If so where in NY and what do you carry. Dutchess County here and carry a Glock 27 in .40 cal. It's a great conceled carry weapon, and shoots great.

    Hellooo.

Just got my permit a week ago.... Can't decide which glock to get....it's probably a 9mm...

    I'm in Rockland.

"tri state glocker" area is waaaaay too slow. Too few posts. I always lurk here hoping I'll see some activity, but I never seem to.....

I thought Kimbers are what you show your friends, but Glocks are what you show your enemies?

Cool man good to hear! Do you belong to any ranges in the area? I just joined one up in Wappingers. Nice to have a place to shoot where the cops dont show up haha

I haven't joined any clubs yet. I do my shooting at Blue Mountain in Cortlandt. Which club in Wappingers did you join and what are the specifics?

I used to shoot skeet at blue mountain, I heard they redid the whole thing since I've been.

The club I joined is DCPA Dutchess County Pistol Association. Its not too far off 84. They have three ranges, pistol only. Its $300 for the first year with a mandatory 12 hrs of work for the club (basically Im gonna try to help set up for matches that I want to try to shoot in), then 100 each year after. Its only an extra $50 per family member and the hours stay the same. Its a nice place, and so far the members seem to be nice, a lot of them try to promote getting new shooters in competition and love it. Lots of weekly activities too.

I've been trying to find someone in Rochester, NY that will let me try out a G36 before I buy one. I'm thinking it might make a nice summer CCW.

    No luck so far. :-(

I don't know how long you've been away, but the pistol ranges are nice. They fixed up the 100yd range and setup a 200yd range as well. But you have to qualify at 100yds before you can shoot 200yds.

    Thanks for the club info.
