Have a new to me Sig 229 in black stainless with NS in 40 on the way to me. Will have Friday. This is a LE trade in so it was not fired much. Will post pics after I have had a chance to handle it.

Should be similar to your 226? That thing is sweet looking.

    Thanks.

This P226ST is just raw stainless steel frame and slide.

It is supposed to be at my dealer tomorrow but I have not gotten any tracking numbers from Summit Gunboker yet. It was paid on a CC so I have some recourse if it doesn't show up. It is a LE trade in so it won't be as sweet as yours Cobra64

    Very nice and congrats!

Your 229's stainless steel slide and most likely aluminum alloy frame is nitron coated and weighs in at about 32 ounces with empty magazine. If it has a stainless steel frame it will weigh ~40 ounces.

Good find. I've been keeping my eye out for a P229 without rail for some time now. I'm trying to find one used and then get a .357 SIG conversion barrel for it as well. Can't seem to find one local. May just have to get on GunBroker one of these days and pick one up. Shoot that one in good health! :wavey:

It is a tack driver.. I may get a 357 barrel someday but ammo is much more expensive than 40 so it won't be soon. Besides I already have dies for the 40. It is fast becoming my go to carry choice
